Moving Steps: Traditional push-hands stepping
Huobu Tuishou 活步推手
with Master Sam Masich
In this workshop we explore and refine basic stepping patterns to take your push-hands to a whole new level.
Yang-style Taijiquan 'four-hands' (sizheng tuishou) is traditionally practiced with three moving footwork patterns: ‘follow step’, ‘cover step’ and ‘circle step.’ Each stepping type can be practiced with the basic four-hands patterns including the 'eight reversals.' The 'large-rollback' (dalü) is an extension of these patterns.
This class can be attended by beginning and advanced students alike!
