Yang-style Taijiquan 108 Solo Long Form
Session One
with Sam Masich
The traditional Yang-style Taijiquan 108 Long Form has been practiced for well over 100 years. The '108' is a treasure trove of principles, applications, and movement wisdom. Sam has practiced and researched this form for over forty years and it is one of the very best pieces of his teaching repertoire.
It's been many years since Sam Masich has taught this entire traditional form in Canada and this course will serve as both a review and a showcase for new developments. In this first session we will learn in detail every move in the first half of the routine.
Session two will take place in Spring 2027.
Plus! A Friday-evening event
Taijiquan Stance in Form and Application
"If correct timing and position are not achieved, the body will become disordered and will not move as an integrated whole. The correction for this defect must be sought in the legs and waist."
The Taijiquan Classic makes clear reference to the importance of the legs waist. This advise applies to both solo and partner work. Lots of fun and play!
